PFM SCREEN Participates in Revision of China’s GB/T 17492 Wire Mesh Standard
PFM SCREEN has actively contributed to revising the national standard GB/T 17492-2012: Technical Requirements and Inspection of Industrial Metal Woven Wire Mesh. The revision aligns China’s standard with the updated ISO 9044:2016 international standard.
The previous standard had become outdated in several technical clauses. In December 2017, the National Standardization Administration of China included this project in the fourth batch of national standard revisions. The project is managed by the National Technical Committee for Particle Characterization, Sieving, and Wire Mesh Standardization. It was officially approved in 2018.
The revised standard was formally issued on December 10, 2019, by the National Market Supervision Administration and the Standardization Administration of China. It came into effect on July 1, 2020.
The adoption of ISO 9044:2016 raises China’s industrial wire mesh technical requirements to a new level. This revision helps upgrade the wire mesh industry and strengthens China’s position in the global market.
