High Strength Duplex Stainless Steel Woven Wire Mesh for Corrosion Resistance, Filtration, and Industrial Applications
Super duplex stainless steel woven mesh is a premium corrosion-resistant mesh woven from duplex alloy wires that combine austenitic and ferritic microstructures with added molybdenum (Mo) for enhanced performance. This high-strength mesh provides outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking, particularly in chloride-rich and acidic environments. The addition of molybdenum significantly improves its mechanical properties and long-term durability.
It is primarily produced in two grades: UNS S32750, known for excellent chloride corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and weldability; and UNS S31803, which offers strong impact toughness, good localized corrosion resistance, and superior thermal conductivity.
With its low thermal expansion and high mechanical strength, super duplex stainless steel woven mesh is ideal for use in extreme industrial environments, including oil and gas, desalination, chemical processing, and food-grade filtration systems. Its robust construction and corrosion resistance make it a reliable solution for both structural and filtration applications.
Weave Types Available

Plain Weave
Plain Weave is the simplest and most common weave pattern for woven wire mesh. In this design, each wire passes alternately over and under one wire in both the warp (longitudinal) and weft (transverse) directions, forming a criss-cross pattern with square openings. This straightforward structure provides a good balance between filtration and flow rate, making it suitable for applications where moderate particle retention and consistent flow are required. Its inherent strength and durability also make it a reliable choice for general-purpose filtration tasks.

Twill Weave
Twill Weave is a more intricate pattern where each wire passes over two wires and under two wires, with an offset in each row that creates a distinctive diagonal appearance. This design allows for a tighter mesh with smaller openings compared to Plain Weave, even when using wires of the same diameter. As a result, Twill Weave offers finer filtration while maintaining higher flow rates due to its increased open area. It is ideal for applications requiring enhanced particle retention without significantly compromising fluid throughput.
