Wire Mesh Cylindrical Filters are the foundational elements of industrial filtration, constructed by forming woven metallic cloth into a cylinder. The manufacturing process involves precision rolling followed by seam joining using resistance welding, plasma welding, or ultrasonic welding to ensure structural integrity. Unlike simple strainers, these filters utilize advanced weave patterns (such as Dutch or Reverse Dutch weave) to achieve specific geometric pore structures, providing a balance between flow rate and particle capture efficiency.

Specification of Wire Mesh Cylindrical Filters
- Primary Materials: AISI 304 (general purpose), AISI 316/L (corrosive/chloride environments), Duplex (high strength/corrosion), Nickel alloys (Monel, Inconel for high temp/acid), Brass, Phosphor Bronze.
- Weave Patterns:
- Plain/Square Weave: Most common, for general filtration.
- Twill Dutch Weave: For finer micron ratings, offers high strength and stable pore size.
- Reverse Dutch Weave: For high flow and excellent cake release.
- Construction: Seam is typically tungsten inert gas (TIG) welded for permanence and strength. Alternative locking methods exist for non-critical applications.
- Filtration Rating: 1 μm (fine Dutch weaves) to 5000 μm (coarse screens). Rating can be expressed as mesh count (e.g., 100×100 mesh) or absolute/nominal micron.
- Standard Dimensions: Outer Diameter (OD): 10 mm to 500 mm; Length: 10 mm to 1500 mm. Larger custom sizes are manufacturable.
- End Connections: Male/Female NPT/BSP/UN threads, DIN/ISO flanges (e.g., DN50, DN100), quick-disconnect fittings, or custom weld-ready ends.
