Sintered FeCrAl Fiber Felt — High-Temperature, High-Durability Metal Felt for Filtration & Thermal Applications
Sintered FeCrAl fiber felt is a multilayer porous metal medium produced from micron-scale iron-chromium-aluminum (FeCrAl) alloy fibers. The fibers are formed into a controlled non-woven mat, stacked into graded layers when required, and diffusion-bonded by high-temperature vacuum sintering to produce a mechanically robust, three-dimensional pore network. The engineered pore gradient and sintered bonds deliver deep-filtration behavior, high dirt-holding capacity and exceptional stability in high-temperature and corrosive environments.
Advantages of Sintered FeCrAl Fiber Felt
- Outstanding high-temperature stability: FeCrAl alloys keep structural integrity and oxidation resistance at elevated service temperatures, making them suitable for furnace, boiler and exhaust environments.
- Excellent thermal shock resistance: The sintered network tolerates rapid temperature swings better than many alternatives, helping prevent cracking or catastrophic failure during thermal cycling.
- Superior dirt-holding & depth filtration: Multi-layer (graded) constructions capture particles throughout the material volume rather than only on the surface, substantially extending service intervals.
- Chemical robustness: Good resistance to many corrosive gases and elevated-temperature oxidation (the Al in the alloy forms a stable oxide scale that protects the fiber).
- Regenerable & long service life: The metal structure allows repeated cleaning (back-pulse, ultrasonic, solvent/chemical as appropriate) and re-use, lowering lifecycle cost.
